Cross Country Internet Router Issues August 25 and 26

We have had some inquires as to why MyGMRS was off line early August 26.

 

The simple answer is that depending upon your location, several interstate routers were down (and some may still be down) for various reasons in California, Georgia, Kansas, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Washington State.

 

With only 62 percent of the North American routers operating, slow response times and packet loss was and still may be present. Note - the two internet routers in Texas are still operating as of 8:45 AM CDT, however, one or both could be affected by Hurricane Harvey flooding and infrastructure damage.

 

At no time did the MyGMRS Moderator staff loose contact with the Forum during this slowdown.
