I was a CB'er back in the 70's. Got back into it 6 months ago, now all my stuff is for sale, worse than it was back then. Being a newbie to them with 100 watts of power crystal clear on a Stryker puts up their shields. God forbid someone can get out on the local net. My push up mast will be here this week and cant wait to join the conversations. Hoping GMRS will be more civilized.

I don't know about radio spying, but more than once I have had a Travelers rest PD be behind me at a traffic light and heard the run a tag check for no reason. I am clean, but still it is a little obscene to do that for no reason.

Thank you. One more question, do I need to compensate for the insertion part of it or just cut to the specified length?

I bought this base antenna because of the reviews. Does anybody use one and if so how does it perform. This will be on my wouxon 100G. I have read do not cut the lower elements and yet the instructions call for cutting all 3. Any advice? TIA.
