  1. Thank you for the reply's, shout out to off roader X btw. So this is a new noise. I know the fan is very loud on this radio but even covering the mic it still happens so definitely not being picked up by the mic. I can hear it listening through Midwest hub and confirmed by others hearing the hum in the back ground. The sound is also consistent with the power outage high or low. Rechecked all connections and power cords around it. Also started shutting electronics off around the radio and unplugging to try to isolate the issue no change.
  2. I have a low humming sound when i key up. It seems to lower or increase with the internal fan speed. I have checked connections, mic volume, and for any power source near the coax but all is ok. Any ideas?? radio - KG-1000g newish SWR 1.4
  3. okay I have answered my own question Was using another radio to hear if it was transmitting. Okay I have answered my own question. I had all the information programmed correctly I'm assuming my issue is the uv5r haha I had a conversation with a guy earlier that could just barely make out what I was saying. Sitting at about 19 miles from the repeater
  4. hello I have got back into communications and just starting out, have my antenna mounted about 30' sadly using a baofeng to get started But my question is I have approval to transmit on Indy 600 462.600 I have my offset correct and dpl given programmed and can see on the map I am hitting the repeater but not transmitting any sound. Am I missing a step on the programming? WRYF300
