  1. Thought I would share with our myGMRS community. The Mesa Crest Repeater Club is growing. CONGRATULATIONS!!! Robert WRXX460 for being our 100th Club Member... The Club has reached its first milestone by reaching 100 Club Members. Robert with the help of one of our Club Member's/Club Sponsor NotARubicon. And the graceful donation of radios to the Club from NotARubicon we are able to do what we are doing today. The Club would like to gift you a Wouxun KG-XS20G mobile unit. Thank you for being our 100th Club Member and thank you to NotARubicon for giving us the opportunity to do this.
  2. Thank you. How do you share the page for future post. I haven't been able to figure it out. Still figuring out how to fully use this site.
  3. Go to forums, clubs, and search for The Mesa Crest Repeater Club. You will have to SIGN IN TO THE FORUMS PAGE. You must log in to request to join the Club. When you switch pages, MyGMRS.com repeater site does not automatically log you in to the Forums Page. Do Not click on the register box. Click on the words EXCISTING USER SIGN IN. You will also need to make a Repeater Request. I can be reached at wrvl221@gmail.com if you have further questions or need help navigating through the website.

  6. Good morning, I have a member that signed up and paid to join the club. But for some reason I cannot see him as a joined club member. WRVL221 The Mesa Crest Repeater Club. Thank you.

  7. I could see that happening. But, when you copy and paste the repeaters description and full information, then you are no longer doing this by mistake. This guy literally copied and pasted the repeaters description that was provided on the repeaters original listing.
  8. I am glad I was able to catch this whiten 24 hours of it being listed by that individual. He did respond to the Cease-and-Desist email we sent him. I believe he has unlisted everyone's repeaters he listed as his own. Again, just wanted to share light to those unaware of this happening.
  9. Just want to inform people I guess it's a new trend or something. For those of you that have repeaters listed on myGMRS double check that some else hasn't relisted your repeater as their own. Come to find out just now one individual has done just that. Not just mine but a couple other repeaters as well. Images included.
  10. Email sent. if you don't have an option to request to join. You haven't logged into the forums page. Please click on Existing user sign in. Not the register box.
  11. Just passing along information I received. 11/30/23 Subject: Geomagnetic Storm A strong geomagnetic storm is set to hit Earth Thursday night and Friday. Scientists from the Space Weather Prediction Center have issued a G3 geomagnetic storm alert, which means it is moderately strong. A number of solar flares caught by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Tuesday and Wednesday will bring a number of waves of energy our way, some waves even colliding with each other to intensify before reaching Earth. It takes between one and three days for coronal mass ejections to reach Earth, potentially disrupting satellite and radio service Thursday night and Friday. A coronal mass ejection is when pieces of the sun, including plasma and energy, are projected outwards. Solar ejections do happen rather frequently, but not at this magnitude. Interruptions to high frequency radio communication or even loss of navigation tools for a few minutes or more are possible. But this doesn't typically affect the general public. It is important, though, that power providers are prepared just in case. This may also cause satellite or space operators to recalibrate, as the solar flare can slow down space travel and increase drag. An upside of a geomagnetic storm is what we see in the night sky. Solar plasma particles interact with the magnetosphere, which is the outer layer of Earth's atmosphere responsible for the aurora borealis. As a result, the northern lights may be pretty strong tonight through Canada, in northern New England, and even as far as south as Massachusetts, Illinois and Oregon.
