  1. I use mine for off-roading and staying connected to my fellow SHTF gang.
  2. I have the GM-15 Pro as well and I love it. Very well built radio for the money. I have two of them. One for just general use, and the other stays in my Jeep for handing out on the trail or campground. Great little radio.
  3. Yeah, it's kind of odd. I have a few other radios and none of them have ever had this "feature" before. I have the Midland MXT275 in my Jeep, and when I originally installed it I had to turn on the internal speaker, but I only had to do that once. For some reason this one seems to require it on every channel. I have not downloaded the Retevis programming software yet. I'm currently on a Mac and apparently the software is only supported on Windows, so I guess I need to buy a PC with Windows on it. My only PC's are running Linux right now.
  4. So I just got a new Retevis RA87 and something seems off to me. There's a menu function to turn on the internal speaker (Menu #59). I've figured out how to get the speaker to turn on, but it seems as if I have to turn it on for every channel. For example, I turn it on for channel 15, and it works fine. I can hear the output. But if I switch to channel 16, I have to go and turn it on again fro channel 16. I'm I missing something here? Is there a universal "speak on" setting the I'm missing somewhere? I've done the YouTube thing, and read through the manual but I cannot for the life of me find any information on this. It's very odd. On every other radio I have, if I turn the speaker on it works across all channels or frequencies. I would love some feedback. Thanks everyone.
