I am new to GMRS. I have my ham radio license, and I plan to use my GMRS with family and friends who don’t have a ham radio license. I chose GMRS over CB radio because of the being use of repeaters. I live in Alaska, and there are many areas with inferior cellular cover or none at all. I would love to have a non-profit or club build a GMRS repeater system in Alaska.
