Baofeng UV 9G I got permission to use a local repeater Example: input tone = 116 DPL output tone = 243 DPL Now in CHIRP when i go to setup I use Is this correct? I only ask because when I setup this way I cannot hear any traffic, but if i go into the menu on handset and change the R-DCS D243 to OFF then i can hear traffic. I know im hitting the repeater as i get a response from the repeater itself. Thanks in advance for any help

So it would be on the repeater because I cannot reach her on simplex one to one. When I am closer to her we use channel 18 for simplex which has a pl tone so I only hear her. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My daughter and I are currently setup to use a local repeater "she lives too far for Simplex Operation". Is there a way to setup a "Privacy Tone PL CTCSS" etc" to cut out others talking while using a repeater? I do realize our conversations are not private and never will be. I'm just looking to somehow cut out the outside chatter if and when we need to talk.
