SO I learned that the numbers in my radio that have a + by them means it's a repeater near me? I just went to that frequency, (channel?) and I heard peoples conversations! That tower, according to Google Maps is approx 15 miles away from us all the way down in Folsom! Is it because we are up on top of a hill at 1530' elevation that I can reach it?

I got approval to use this repeater, (it is open to all but I requested request anyway). I'm a total noob and have my Baofeng UV-5G Plus connected to Chirp Next. I don't think this shows all the information I need to add it to my radio? I mean I watched a bunch of videos and I don't see everything listed here that people are talking about adding? What information from here goes in the columns on Chirp?

I just got this radio, I'm newly licensed to GMRS and I found a repeater and was granted access to us it! Being an ex-Mercedes-Benz Technician of 18 years I like to read and encourage people to read their Owner's Manuals and so I have mine in front of me! I am in VFO Mode, I press the MENU Key [3][1] to choose a channel to delete but then the next step is MENU [1][0] MENU EXIT and it doesn't work for me. I tried CHIRP using the radio it told me to choose instead of UV-5G Plus but that didn't work and I also tried the software from Baofeng and that doesn't work either, I get some weird error message saying "Error reading data from radio: not the amount of data we want". I tried to find a video on YouTube with someone specifically using my exact radio so I can follow along! I'm trying not to be frustrated, but it would be neat if just following the manuals instructions could allow me to program this repeater!! Please let me know your ideas! Thank you!

Good morning, Happy Friday! I have requested access to two repeaters nearby and haven't received any granted or denied responses! When an owner replies to a request, does it arrive via email or does it show up somewhere in mygmrs.com notifications? Thank you!
