I played around with CB back when I was in highschool, but never did anything with it as an adult.

Recently I got my GMRS license to use the radios as a part of safety and communication with group cycling rides on the weekends. We use them primarily to keep the group from getting separated and warn about safety issues we see.

I also signed up with a local club that provides radio services to events and other kinds of clubs and schools in the area. Not sure I will every take the dive into HAM but this is kind of an experiment to see how I like it as a hobby and practical tool.
