THAT reply (basic maneuvering) helped! follow up: Instructions…Amazing how that works. i was missing the third “F” press. I THINK im all set up with the repeater channel, all devices on the same channels, and learned to scan, found weather, used the radio etc… thank you WRWE456 !

It’s preprogrammed repeater channels and frequencies (i pick the one i need). and i have the repeater info - and I think i figured out the channel and frequencies, yes- and maybe even found the repeater. But it’s just the buttons on the menu and guide thats confusing me. One transmits, the other doesn't (but it was- til i pushed more buttons). I just need the hardware tutorial… idiot proof i suppose. I used to consider myself a relatively intelligent individual working with software programs and computer systems and analysis and the silly handheld got me stumped.. some of the acronyms got me stumped too when I see them on my display no idea what they are. Maybe there’s a tutorial on what buttons to press in what sequence and how and what they mean… i will puruse the baofeng directions. Maybe it will make more sense

I’m trying to set up three GMR2 – plus handhelds and well I may be close. I am clearly not quite getting it right - a lot of acronyms and I’m just clicking buttons at this point. I got it to work for a second. Not sure if I’m pointing to the Repeater. is there anyone out there who has this model and can walk me through the set up and functional use?
