    Do not use the keypad lock, as it will prevent transmission. like my radio when you turn it on it will never transmit.

    I watch your videos regularly, and while I may not be entirely correct, I've seen several examples similar to what Ham Radio 2.0 shared. One instance involved a CB operator from Rockford, Illinois, who received a hefty fine for broadcasting random sounds.

    you can but it is for ham radio. well, you might get a big fine if they catch you. I’m not saying your videos are wrong, but something might happen.

    UV5R. I don't think Baofeng has a radio that allows on MURS.

    I am not sure, but I think the unlocked Baofeng UV-5R can transmit on MURS. I'm not really sure about the old one though.

    According to my experience, you can't unlock it unless you have a UV5R.

    But now no one will know what radio you are using. if you are using the Baofeng IDY repeater that will be the same. So what will the difference be without using a repeater? who knows the FCC HAS the tool to find out what radio you are using.
