@Flacracker the cables you buy off of Amazon don't always work with every radio. So far, the cable I got with my original BaoFeng UV-5RTP from Radioddity has worked, as well as some TYT and Radioddity cables. The Radioddity cables seem to have wide compatibility, so that would be my recommendation. If you're still having issues, you may have a missing driver on your PC.
