  1. I have the MXT-A26 with the Retevis RA25 (same as the DB20G) in my truck, and it works great for RX on 2m, 70cm, GMRS, and MURS. I don't TX very much at all, and if I do it's on GMRS or 70cm.
  2. The Baofeng DM32UV does voice recording. I don't know if it works on the GMRS/UHF channels, or only when using the digital frequencies. I have the UV32 which does not do voice recording.
  3. That's a great deal! The Retevis RA25 is also on sale for the same price.https://a.co/d/eOtojqI
  4. I have 3 of the TD H3 radios. For the price, they are great! Very easy to hand out to family members. And you can lock the keypad so they don't accidentally press a button. You can usually find them for around $20-$30.
  5. I ended up returning the DM32 because you can only scan 16 channels at a time. I ordered another UV32. It works great, but it took me a while to figure out how to program it because of a bug in the firmware.
  6. The Nagoya UT-72G mag mount antenna comes with the adapter for a handheld. It's fairly cheap and works great.
  7. I hear you. Better off safe than sorry.
  8. This is in my backyard. And I wouldn't even try to get close to it. Like I said about 4 feet below (or more) the other wires. I doubt I will end up doing, I'm more just curious about the interference.
  9. I have this telephone/power pole in my backyard. And I was thinking about putting a little pulley or something on it about 4 feet under where the wires are. And then I could use it to pull my roll up Jpole antenna up. My question is, would there be interference from the power lines?
  10. Yes. Like I said, everything worked fine, it was able to read the radios but just wouldn't write to them.
  11. Nevermind, I just decided to download CHIRP and do it that way. Super easy.
  12. WRXL702, why is this funny? Is there something I'm missing?
  13. Is anyone else having issues with ODmaster? I can connect my TD H3 to the app, and it will read from the radio, but when I try to write to the radio, it starts writing, but then the radio goes back to the normal screen, and the app just keeps saying it's writing, but doesn't do anything. I tried it with 3 different TD H3's and it does the same thing. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Still does the same thing.
  14. Try this one https://a.co/d/6ENAQ4x
  15. That's weird, now when I go to the link, it's back up to $81, but when I ordered it earlier today, it was only $55.
  16. So I ordered a UV32 and got it a couple of days ago. Well, it barely would receive transmissions. I took up to a high point in my area, a long with my TD H3, and my Retevis RA25 mobile unit. They both worked great, receiving the NOAA station and listening to some construction workers. The UV32 would barely receive the NOAA station, and couldn't hear the construction workers at all. I even swapped antennas, and same results. I really liked the radio itself, but it just was hardly working. And that is with the OEM antenna, the 18" tactical antenna it also came with, and the Tidradio 771. So I returned it. Then looking on Amazon, I found the DM32 on a Prime Day deal for $55! Although, shipping will take almost two weeks. Hopefully this one will work better. The reviews seem to confirm that some UV 32's have receive issues, but the DM32 does not. https://a.co/d/1Vk52lh
  17. I was wondering this very same thing! Thank you guys!
  18. Thanks
  19. Thank you.
  20. Yes, I stumbled upon these. These look good as well.
  21. I posted it in the Miscellaneous forum.
  22. Looking for an Ed Fong DBJ2 roll up antenna kit.
