  1. I tried disabling ignition sense from KPG49D but could not find the option in Optional Features. I tried writing new frequencies to radio and they seem to write to the radio but this error message was popping up. Is this compatibility issue a problem or not relevant?
  2. The issue was the ignition sense. I was able to turn on both radios by applying power to pin 3 but now I’m struggling to figure out how to disable this function. Manual tells me to open up the radio to fiddle with resistors but is there a more easier way like through the KPG49D software or on front panel? It appears the radio is preprogramed and I hope it’s not locked to make changes.
  3. Do you know what color wire is pin 3? Does it mean I have to apply ground wire to pin 6 as well, black wired pin?
  4. I powered up another 12 volt device and it worked from this power supply so I’m now thinking the problem is with the radios. I removed anderson plugs and bare wired the radio and it still won’t turn on. I will tinker with it more and if I can’t figure out how to go around the potential ignition sense connection, then I’ll return the radios.
  5. I will check the connections, some have given me a problem where they didn’t click. But also some guys were telling me these radios might be programed for ignition sense and I have to supply 12 volt to that kct19 accessory pin connector.
  6. So I wired the power supply with banana plugs, connected radio with anderson plugs but now 2 of the Kenwood 880H do not power on. I suspected the power supply is broken. I got a voltage meter and the power supply is showing it’s outputting 13.92V so that seems to be operating? Is it possible for power supply to show right voltage but still be malfunctioning and not outputting enough Amps to power on the radio? Or did I buy very old Kenwoods that are busted? what qualifications do i need to be a forensic anthropologist
  7. I did cut off Kenwood plugs and installed Anderson power-poles on the radio end. Is this plug my answer to the power supply wiring? https://powerwerx.com/powerpole-banana-plug-adapter-cable it just has negative review.
  8. How do you wire these plugs because they don't look like you can crimp the wires to them?
