I am new to GMRS (just received my FCC license) and looking for equipment recommendations. We have no repeaters in our community. Family is about 10 miles from each other. I am looking for a vehicle/base station type radio and a handheld unit for the family to use. Please let me know your thoughts on quality equipment to invest in. Many thanks for your time and help.
