  1. It's a slippery slope ... today a blue radio. Tomorrow, I might start running with scissors!
  2. Thank you so much!!! This was exactly the info I was looking for. The guy at BuyTwoWayRadios hinted that removal was a possibility but that was as far as he'd go. If you're hitting repeaters at that distance though, maybe I don't even need a bandit or nagoya antenna ... I think i'll go ahead and take the plunge. I have the 935G Plus and like it a lot but the superheterodyne receiver and all the extra features make this one super-tempting. Now ... should I go solid balck or be really daring and get a blue one? Decisions, decisions .... Thanks again!!
  3. I'm thinking about purchasing a Wouxun KG-Q10G and just discovered in reading the manual online, that the antenna can't be removed. I guess this is because of FCC regulations regarding transmission of GPS data. I'm wondering then, how good is the antenna on the radio? Is it as good as say, a melowave bandit or a Nagoya? And if not, is there any way to safely remove it without damaging the radio or voiding the warranty? Ideally, I'd like to be able to use it with a mobile antenna, too now and then. Maybe I'm making a bigger deal out of this than I should, but I'd be interested in hearing the thoughts of folks that have this radio. Thanks!!
