I'm using a wouxun 805g and trying too access a repeater and it needs a DPL code of 445.
I don't see that listed in the menu options I have DCS and CTCS.
Help please and yes I'm new at this

Gman, you may be right about that sw33 and i now have an account with Motorola salutions witch is where i got those antennas from. I also am using a 771g that seems to work well its just a tad long

The Motorola antennas got in and I'm getting a 4 on them, I'm getting a bit confused I'm using an sw33 by surecom for a meter.

You are correct the smiley has an swr of 8! i will be returning that and trying the Motorola antenna

I just tried a Diamond SRJ-77CA and swr was about perfect and recieve jumped bit.
That antenna is not even rated for GMRS I keep it on my yaesu ft-65.

What was the issue with the smiley antennas? I just ordered a uhf 5/8 wave tuned at 465

radio temporarly shut down

I was out with my ht when I went to call a local repeater the radio normaly reaches i could not reach.
When I got home I checked the radio on a meter and I had zero output power. I turned back off and called btwr to get a rma number very good people, so I turned it back on just too double check and now it's working fine, I am returning it but what could cause the issue?
