I am an older gent new to radio in general. Please be kind.

My GMRS call is WROD278.

I am also a newly licensed ham, as of February of 2021.  Call is K8JCL.

I got my GMRS license as one more means of communication should anything at any time turn south.

My wife was jazzed about the idea as well, so she got her own call sign. Her call is WRVP435.

The gear we have so far are 3 Kenwood TK-880-1 for GMRS. One for a base, one for mobile in the truck and one for my wife's car.

The base antenna is an Ed Fong antenna for GMRS, on a 30 foot mast, fed by LMR400 coax.

We also have 2 Radioddity GM-30 to help teach my grand kids, and for comms in the woods while hiking or fishing.

I am married to my beautiful wife Suzanne. We have 2 kids,

5 grandkids, and one crazy black lab named Marshall. 

Other interests besides radios are, fishing, cooking, hiking, boating and being in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. 

I look forward to enjoying many years in these, new found GMRS and ham radio hobbies.
