  1. My Garmin Rino 755t HTs are very quiet. Initially I thought it was a wideband>narrowband issue, but the FCC docs for the 755t show that it is narrowband-only. I really only use the Rinos for texting and sending location data to hunting partners so it doesn't bother me much. When I try to use it in a noisy environment I have to put the speaker pretty close to my ear. They "support" BT so you may have luck pairing a Bluetooth headset to the Rino.
  2. So it looks like the radio is 10W, and after the duplexer it is around 5W which is the same as the Retevis I think.
  3. Specs say the Midland is 10W. I think the only part 95 accepted amp is 20W and after the duplexer it will be 10W. I may be wrong though.
  4. The BTECH GMRS Pro is a reflashed/rebranded Vero VR-N75 that is locked to tx on GMRS freqs. It uses APRS with AFSK1200. The Garmin and Motorola HTs use proprietary protocols and do not interop with others.
