  1. Is the DURACOMM LPX-14 POWER SUPPLY, enough to power a 50 watt radio like the Midland MXT575?
  2. Thank you. It would be in my database.... i may just put the 50watt in the house.
  3. Thinking of running it somehow off the 115 vac. Is there a method that will work safely and efficiently?
  4. Hi All - I know it's not smart to power a 50w radio in a car's cigarette lighter, but will a 115/120v (i think some are different) safely and effectively power a 50w radio? Thank you!
  5. Thank you all!!! I got my first repeater programmed into the radio today and was talking. I appreciate it!
  6. Thank you. The repeater shows input tone of 156.7, which I looks like to me means to put # 25 in the TC slot? Thank you!
  7. Hi All total Noob here. I recently got a Midland MTX275. I am running the standard magnet antenna. I have had my license for a few years now, but have never really delved into GMRS. I have a couple of questions regarding the setup of the MTX275. I turned on the repeater channels in the menu. From there here is my understanding (probably wrong). 1. If I locate a repeater on frequency 462.600 - that is channel 17RP. Correct? 2. Do I enter the repeater tone in the TC or RC portion of the Repeater channel menu for the frequency? I think I have been getting a response from the repeater, but I get no acknowledgement from anyone. I am also in the Chicago area and I hear people from Indianapolis, Houston and Amarillo Texas. I'm confused as to how I should be setting this up. Thank you.
