The only way to set this up was to use the program cable. Since it needed BOTH a transmit AND a receiving CTCSS. thank you all for helping a new guy..

New to GMRS, bought a retevis rb17p. I've had it set on scanning for 2 days. I've only heard a few words in 2 days.. there's a repeater 4 miles from me. Is it really this dead?

just picked up this radio. Retevis RB17P Im having trouble with understanding how to set the frequency for the repeater channels. Booklet says channel 30 has a preset ctc frequency but I need a different one for my local repeater.. can someone please help...

I just got a GMRS radio, and although I've been in CB for years this radio is difficult for me to understand. Is there anyone around me (Keene N.H) that could spend a few minutes or hours showing me how to set up my radio?
