WSAF433 Posted 11 hours ago Report Posted 11 hours ago Hello, I just had a $25 subscription charge by myGMRS.com on April 26th which I think is for access to one of the New York City GMRS repeater groups. I'm happy to pay it (I think it is a renewal from last year when I first signed up), but I'm confused that I can't see it listed anywhere on my account. And I actually also can't see where my annual subscription for myGRMS.com is listed (pretty sure I am a premium member). I can see this New York City GMRS repeater club listed in my profile, but no way to leave it. Please advise! Ian Quote
WRUU653 Posted 9 hours ago Report Posted 9 hours ago It’s not on the forum site, you will find subscriptions on the mygmrs.com repeater/map site. You will need to log on there just like yo do here, open the control panel by clicking in upper left hand corner then scroll down on the right to subscriptions. Quote

Ian I don’t see the usual black banner with dollar sign that indicates you’re a premium member, but sometimes that get out of sync between the two different portions of this site. Premium Membership is $50 annually. I know Rich has added additional membership levels that don’t cost the full $50. If doing as Gil recommended above doesn’t answer your questions then consider reporting your own post to catch Rich’s attention. Quote

Cancelling the card didn't work because Norton pays the banks for some stupid service that allows them to follow a customers account via Visa. Quote
WSHH887 Posted 5 hours ago Report Posted 5 hours ago You should get bank statements monthly. If you read those you should know of any "auto" payments. If you cancel something with an auto payment and get charged again, call your bank. it's an unauthorized debit and the bank will kill it and either reimburse it or claw it back. Companies with auto payments are required to notify you, using the contact info you supply, before withdrawals are made. Why pay for a "service" when all you need to do is read your bank statement? You would think it would be that easy but nope. Read this article https://www.creditcardreviews.com/blog/yes-you-can-be-auto-billed-even-if-you-change-your-card-number Quote
WSHH887 Posted 20 minutes ago Report Posted 20 minutes ago I'm not saying you can't be charged if you change your credit card number. I'm saying your financial institution can't deduct from your account if you tell them not to. If they do, they are liable. I've always notified my bank when I stop an auto pay. Maybe it's unnecessary and all the companies I have dealt with are open and above board. It's your money, take charge of it. Quote
