About Hytera radios, I’m on the lookout for a PT850 in the 405-475 band split. This is a digital radio for TETRA.

Yeah, it sort of looks like an Anytone D878 with a hard-on. Oh well, many of their other HT’s have the same antenna placement. Designer I’ll bet got a     bone-ous for the idea.

I’ve seen a few for other band spilts. The radios are usually from the EU or China. TETRA is basically not used in North America. With the tariff on most imports it makes these expensive, or just unobtainable.

This the most current version of the CPS I could find on-line in the attached photo and have installed. I think I saw a reference to a V3.09.13.406 in the link below. So far I can't find a place to grab a downloadable copy.

The rules only stop the honest sellers on eBay and eBay does not care about people skirting the rules... I use to sell on eBay and closed my store because I can't compete with the criminals they let list on there.

yes, you are right. how you write your add is the trick..Avoid speciic model number keywords because thats what they flag. Better to use detailed pictures with heading like Hytera Repeater instead of Hytera RD982 Repeater.  According to my friend,  Ebay flags specific Model Numbers basted on the information they get.  Doing a serardh for Hytera mobile, transciever, repeaters or land base radios brings up the adds.   A little more work for some of us looking for specic equipent but it is what it is.

I have most vers but they are sitting on my server at home..  I'm away camping for couple weeks.  What vers are you avter? I would stay below 8's because anything above excludes the motorola stuff due to lawsuit.

that was just a sarcastic snark remark against Ebay..   No way i'm letting loose of that radio and i'm pretty sure @Lscott knows that.

Some types of radios are nearly impossible to find. I don't blame you for keeping it.
