TNFrank Posted October 5, 2025 Posted October 5, 2025 Not sure if I got this right or not but it does work. I have a 3100 and 3104 for each Repeater. I think I may have only needed one that I could share with each Repeater but either way, like I said, it's working. I also added a 4000 Disconnect to each Repeater but I may have only needed one of those as well. Either way here's what I have. Quote
BoxCar Posted October 5, 2025 Posted October 5, 2025 @TNFrank: As an aid in building a DMR code plug keep everything about one repeater together before adding another. And yes, each repeater needs an entry for every talk group on that repeater. This means you need a TG 4000 for each one as well as common channels i.e. 3104 and 3102. It also helps if you can leave a blank (empty) row between different groups like repeaters in different areas or zones. TNFrank 1 Quote

TNFrank Posted October 5, 2025 Author Posted October 5, 2025 I think I'm finally getting the hang of it. I might see if 99 will work for Simplex. I have it set a 1 and it works between my radios, I just wonder if that'll stop others on Simplex from hearing me? Quote
TNFrank Posted October 6, 2025 Author Posted October 6, 2025 Ok, so I replaced the "1" with "99" for my Simplex channels and they still work. I also added the 3, 1.25M Analog Repeaters and 3 GMRS Repeaters we have in the area. The Codeplug is coming together nicely. I really like these little Radtel RT-4D radios. For $50 bucks for a DMR radio I think they're hard to beat. I'm probably going to do a video for my YouTube channel about them. Quote
