beerftw Posted February 5 Posted February 5 I was looking up different ham radios that could transmit on 10m am and ssb, I came across the radioddity qt40, it is fairly capable for it's low price but the led display is a pain trying to use a oldschool cb display to show 10 meter frequencies split into multiple flashes. I decided well that would be a pain and would likely not buy that one but I thought man that looks cool as can be, like a 1980's oldschool cb radio. Then I thought well it would be cool if someone made a gmrs radio just like that, a gmrs radio does not need the big led to tell you what station, needs less functions, and someone could make a cool looking radio to fit in peoples trucks or as a basestation. I tried looking and have found nothing so far, but if a day ever came the something like the qt40 was made for gmrs at a reasonable price I would totally be rocking it in my truck. Quote
LegitByDefault Posted February 5 Posted February 5 I dig the old school appeal. First I've seen that wasn't made four plus decades ago! Neat find Quote
