Guest spd641 Posted March 28, 2018 Report Posted March 28, 2018 I saw a few of these radios at a dealers store a few years back and they were excellent radios.I almost bought one but I was spending what money I did have getting my first GMRS repeater tuned and that has been a few years ago.I think if you can get it programmed you will have an excellent radio.I was just unsure about the certification and want to make sure it was Part 95...William couger100101 1 Quote

Jones Posted March 29, 2018 Report Posted March 29, 2018 Most ham operators should be familiar with the amateur radio division of Vertex Standard Radio company. They call themselves Yaesu. Yaesu Musen Co. of Japan is the parent company of Yaesu/Standard/Horizon/Vertex. Quote
WRAF213 Posted April 3, 2018 Report Posted April 3, 2018 That's not what TCB means. TCB Information describes what class of product (following Part 15 scope) the tester is testing; testing procedure is different for differing product classes. The actual type acceptance certification is not granted by the TCB. The FCC grants this. At the very bottom of that page, the only type acceptance granted is for Part 90. PRadio and Logan5 2 Quote
