Thank you for your input @generalpain. Unfortunately I don't have enough cable to raise it above the chimney. However by moving it to the same A-frame (actually attached to my unit), as the Larsen, it will get me more slack. I'll be looking into a mast and ground plane setup for the 7900D today for it, making sure the two antennas are at least six feet apart and offset in height. How does that sound?
