Midland MTX500 repeater setup.

Can anybody tell me if in the repeater setup on a Midland MXT500 GMRS radio if the "STEP" setting should remain at 12.5K or bumped up tp 25K like the repeater channel spacing?

If you are specifying the frequencies, the step has no affect. It is the amount the VFO would shift if it were bumped up or down one position or step.
