SteveShannon Posted February 28, 2023 Report Posted February 28, 2023 A repeater that hasn't had an update in over a year. zzz 1 Quote
WRUU653 Posted February 28, 2023 Report Posted February 28, 2023 I believe if the info from the repeater owner hasn’t been updated on mygmrs.com in over a year. We have one here that is still active but the owner needs to update on the site it would seem. zzz 1 Quote
WRKC935 Posted March 1, 2023 Report Posted March 1, 2023 Hmm, why would an owner need to update information on a running repeater that is active? I can understand if the repeater isn't on the air but if it's running what sort of update is needed? Quote

Presumably nothing needs to be changed; just touched to inform the site that the repeater is running. kmcdonaugh and kirk5056 2 Quote
tweiss3 Posted March 1, 2023 Report Posted March 1, 2023 This thread does bring up a point. Do answering requests count as activity? SteveShannon 1 Quote

I held off saying that yesterday. I didn't know then, but I was hoping someone who did know might answer. You deserve some kind of response. tweiss3 1 Quote

The person I know with a repeater that went stale has an open repeater, because no request are needed he dosn't respond to request. Maybe that's why it went stale. I know this doesn't answer the question but it could be a clue. SteveShannon 1 Quote
TangoKilo Posted March 2, 2023 Report Posted March 2, 2023 Have a question. I have seven (7) GMRS repeaters in North Carolina. Let's go hypothetical here. With this number of machines its tough to keep and make everybody happy. So folks may get mouthy and say or post something in their anger that may or may not be true or accurate. Let's say someone posts a negative comment on one of my repeater pages. Mind you, there is no and will never be a reason for a negative comment. All the same, how does a comment get removed? I realize i can remove a reply generated from me, but I can not remove a comment from others. Says I do not have sufficient permission. I have put a request in to the "contact" area and have gotten no reply. Thought I would try another angle. Thanks guys, Tim W4ADC / WRKH438 Quote
