Hi all - new to GMRS, learning about the nets, links, people, and general etiquette. Apologies in advance if posting in the wrong place, but it seems correct for what I'm asking...why don't there seem to be any MI repeaters on the Midwest GMRS net?

My local machine is the Elkhart 550. I'm originally from southwest lower MI about 35 minutes from Elkhart, and I go up there often as quite a few friends and family live in the area. The MyGMRS MI page doesn't show any listed repeaters except one saying "Waiting for Andrew" and three that say "Coming Soon". When viewing the main map, there are plenty of repeaters in MI and some of them show node numbers, but when looking at the net map, there are none showing up at all.

If there are reasons that can't or shouldn't be shared, no worries - I totally get that. Just curious why things are like they are is all. Thanks!

I'm not sure if your asking just about the local system or all but many repeaters are not linked and have no reason to be. None of my repeaters are linked or listed on mygmrs. I would assume maybe folks in that area are not interested or cannot find suitable locations to setup equipment.
