React only system

Hey all,

So I was just wondering, when you go to submit your repeater on MyGMRS, I noticed that there are settings for permission required, members only, etc. However, I noticed another setting called, react only. What exactly is this? Is this meaning it is using a simplex node, or is it something different? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It means the repeater is for REACT members or they are the primary users of said repeater.

REACT was big back in the CB days. Many of the teams fell apart in the early 2000's. Our team used GMRS for a few years before they disbanded. Back then a team could license the frequency as well. This is actually how our SAR team got the channel and location we used for a few years also.
