WRMI793 Posted March 17 Report Posted March 17 I've received my Retevis RT97S repeater and I'm trying to download the programming software from their website. My virus protection is quarantining the installation software. Is anyone else having this problem? I tried to download on an old laptop and the options screen has 3 selections: "Rock, Paper or Scissors". Seems a bit sketchy to me. I immediately canceled the install. Long story short, I have no programming software for my new repeater. Quote
warthog74 Posted March 17 Report Posted March 17 Not sure if it’ll help, but i downloaded the rt97s software and drivers without issue from retevis’s official site, and put them on my google drive. WRZK593 Posted March 18 Report Posted March 18 I have had the same issue. I allowed it to run. Yes it appeared totally sketchy to me as well, but I believe I chose "rock". Yes I was as skeptical as you, and ran it on a standby laptop and everything went fine with no other issues. Vince WRZK593 Quote
WRMI793 Posted March 21 Author Report Posted March 21 Thanks for the replies. I crossed my fingers and chose "rock" and was able to download and program. I guess the rock - paper - scissors was a language selection that got lost in the translation. Quote
yqtszhj Posted May 20 Report Posted May 20 When I picked rock, it came back in Chinese. Canceled and picked paper and got English. Seems ok so far though but strange for sure. Quote
