viper1844
Hello my name is Ben, introducing myself, im New. Just recently got my GMRS License the other day, seen this site, and wanted to sign up. Now that I got the license looking to get some equipment. I got alot of 11 meter cb radio stuff, thats where I cut my teeth on radios. Still use them and love them, men and alot of local guys use em. I wanted to get into GMRS, beyond the bubble packs, so applied for my license, and just got it. Eventually I'm looking to get my Ham, by the end of this year, or so. Anyway good to meet you all, and been reading the forums, and everyone here seems pretty cool. Logan5, mainehazmt and shaine

I'm about 51 miles SW of DC near Castleton, VA but monitor the (462.675, 141.3) repeater near the "Seven Corners" (junction of Hwys 50 & 7) area when I'm in the car. If you ever want to chat give me a call on the repeater frequencies (WQYC236).
chiefeis
If I remember to turn on my HT the Alexandria repeater (462.675) is the one I monitor on my commute. At home I seem to be in a slight hole, but usually monitor the Woodbridge (462.625). If I find the time (I'm taking care of a slight remodel at home) I plan on building an Ed Fong dual band antenna for the house. That should help some. If either of you guys want to try communicating on (462.675, 141.3) I can be on the air anytime listening. I usually have no problem hitting that repeater from my driveway, although with all this rain it's been a little iffy lately at 51 miles out. chiefeis and Logan5
jgilson
Hello All. I will be monitoring (462.675, 141.3) between 1900 and 2200 EST M - F . I think I am hitting the Alexandria repeater correctly but have not been able to make contact with anyone from near Old Town Alexandria if anyone wants to try. Thanks.
