Last night in the house (Palm Harbor, Fla) I was able to have comms w/Panama City, Fla and Bradenton, Fla

Was scratchy in the house, but when I went outside, it was clear comms to both locations off of repeater 575 Tampa.

Thanks for the information

Very welcome.

Please read the first Posting, helped when I went outside obviously and I guess it was the right time of night.

I'm only about two miles from the Gulf (inland) w/trees etc.

I live 20 miles east of Sacramento CA and I'm pretty much inland. Also the radio I'm using is an UV9R+ will that antenna work on that radio?

I love my 48” foldable antenna.  With a stock antenna I can do about 15miles.  A 771g gets me out to 30-40 miles and a 48” will hit 50miles.  My foldable 48” is always in my pack just in case

Exactly.

I'm using a Baofeng UV5G+ and ordered the T3 and have a few others and the Baofeng does well.

Is your uv9 a boofwang or a woxoun

I have both.
The boofwang uv9 uses a female sma.     The woxoun uv9 uses a male sma.

they make foldable antennas for both.
