Registration code

WRZK971

Question

Anybody know the difference between this two iax.conf lines?

register = <nodeNum>:<pWord>@register.mygmrs.com
register => <nodeNum>:<pWord>@register.mygmrs.com

The first is what the myGMRS node registration form gave me. The second a registration line example in iax documentation.

Just curious...

I am not familiar with this particular context but it appears that there is no difference in this context. In certain programming languages, it is used for lambda expressions which I will not go into here because it is doubtful that it has any application here.

Have you tried using both to see if you get any practical difference?

I have tried changing it back and forth, to see if "asterisk -r" registration errors stop appearing, but it makes no difference.   My system is working, so I'm not too concerned with it.
