Wow,  Last bight around 6:55 pm wife and i just got back from getting some Sushi. I come in the garage, my GMRS portable was already 'on' sitting on the workbench and it starts going nuts, " FIRE,, Someone Call the Fire Dept, Get these F'ing trailers moved, Somone is in that trailer" etc.  The damn GMRS radio on 4 or 5 channels was going nuts.  I'm like what the hell is going on..   I step out the garage door with the portable and i'm smelling smoke, like plastic is on fire.. I start dong a 360 to see if i can find flames.  Bingo, less than a mile away from me i see huge flames probably 40-50' in the air and can tell its coming from the fair grounds where over 5000 people are for the Viewfinders MC Race this weekend..  Knowing they should have the area sealed off, i got on Facebook and looked to the local page..  Huge fire going on at the RV Park 3 RV's involved..   I found out this morning, no one was hurt thank good..  Someone had a live feed going on Facebook and it looked pretty bad.. Here is a post from local paper this morning. https://www.ridgecrestca.com/news/trailers-catch-fire-at-viewfinders-grand-prix-camp-area-saturday-night/article_32a3a450-7e0c-11ef-84ae-1b35363a6da5.html

Having spent a fair bit of time camping out at race tracks, I can pretty much guarantee it was those 3 famous, beautiful words:

Alcohol Was Involved.

Apparently someone started a propane BBQ and for whatever reason the BBQ exploded in flames and quickly spread..  There was lots of racing fuel around including what is stored in those Toy Hauler Trailers and things got out of hand pretty quick..  I just drove by there. looks like 3 RVs and trucks burned to the ground a d many looked damages..   Looks pretty bad out there.

And that will probably be the end of propane fired anything on those grounds.

Insurance companies tend to react to anything like this and tell policy holders that they will not continue their policies if they allow whatever source of a loss was to continue to be used at a facility.

While there are several different 'reasons' stated for the removal of corporal punishment in schools, a bit of research will show you that the insurance companies, after paying out on a couple schools being sued, they put a stop to it by refusing to insure any school that still used that method of punishment.
