Baofeng AR-5RM. Listening to two channels. I know how to turn that off/on. One is 'Main' and I know how to switch.

Is there a way to have 'Main' automatically switch to the channel that last received? Haven't seen anything in the radio's menu but maybe something in CHIRP or some other hack/mod?

I've been listening but sometimes can't look at the radio but would like to know which channel just received. I was driving and listening, heard something of interest but couldn't look to see which channel it was on.

Thanks,

CC

It would be nice if there was an indicator that would stay on after transmission, showing the last channel to receive activity while monitoring multiple channels. But I do not know of a radio that does that.

The Wouxun KG-935G+ does. There is an icon that stays on indicating which area A or B last received a signal.

The BF-F8HP PRO has dual watch and is a Tri band with GPS for transmitting your location. This could be handy if you broke down. I just received mine and with the new colored screen and better speaker the old model will take a back seat. I am trying to learn how to program the groups. 1000 Chanel’s can be divided into 10 groups making lots of room for repeaters as I travel to new play areas.

Can’t wait to see a detailed review on it soon for other opinions and applications.
