Please check in as you join.  Name, location, etc.  What repeater you usually monitor.

(Steven Gibbs, live in Columbia, am able to work Thompson Station, Brentwood, Franklin 15 & 21, & Grasslands. Have a Baofeng UV-5G Plus set up as base at my desk at home and turned on often.  Also have a UV-5R8W set up as a mobile in my pickup.)

If we get enough interest in this club, we can make some decisions regarding meet-ups, events, etc.

This site requires a premium membership to create the club.  So we may have to establish a membership fee.  Cost to maintain the site is just $50.00 per year so it won't be more than a few dollars.  I currently am set up for 1 month to see how this goes.

Thanks,

Steve

Good Morning.  WRZC825 - Jon.  I think I have heard all of you on the Thompson Station repeater at some point.  I don't talk much, just monitor during my AM/PM commute from Spring Hill to Brentwood and at my desk when I am working from home.  I monitor Thomson Station and Grasslands mostly (awesome range on this one...I can get from Percy Priest Lake to my home in Spring Hill).  Used to monitor Brentwood, but it has been hit or miss on that one, so I don't really try anymore.  Definitely need a good repeater in Columbia (maybe move the one that is frequently off line in Brentwood since the Grasslands covers that area anyway...just my $.02)

Good afternoon!

WSFD645 - Michael, in Bellevue.

Thanks for starting this @SteveGibbs, post your venmo and we can chip in to get the annual fee together.

I can reach the main Nashville repeater and have heard chatter the 94 Fairview repeater in the past. I should be able to hit the 94 brentwood and 94 grassland repeaters but I'm not sure anyone uses those.

@WRZC825 Reach out to the person who runs the repeaters labeled "94" around brentwood, franklin, and fairview. They're all in Williamson Co so there may be some official county level coordination going on there.

WSCY890 William   I am located in South Nashville. We monitor all repeaters in our area as far north as Gallatin and south to Spring Hill. Look forward to part of a growing GMRS community

Hey yall. Jeffrey Davis here. WSDV406. I'm in Hermitage. I'm only on HT for now -- either a Baofeng UV-5R or a Tid H3 -- and I monitor all of the local repeaters that I can hit, but I'm on the Brentwood and Nashville (Love Circle) and Lebanon 675 repeaters most often.

I talked to someone transmitting on the Brentwood repeater from Columbia and I was transmitting from central Mount Juliet. They told me about this group and I'm glad to make yall's acquaintance.

I'm pretty new to radio, so I'm always glad to chat and accept any help and advice anyone wishes to share.

WRTI650 Doug Robertson here. I live in Franklin, just north of downtown and work at a church just south of downtown Franklin. Pretty new to the radio world but somehow became the subject expert to friends that know nothing and are getting GMRS radios. I'm hitting several repeaters in the area, some different from work and my home. Looking to join this friendly group and learn! Blessings!

Adam Sanders, I live in Murfreesboro/Walter Hill (north Rutherford County), I have been permitted to use the RUTHERFORD 600 repeater and am still awaiting approval on a couple more repeaters in the middle Tennessee area. I have a set of Baofeng UV-9G turned on from time to time.  I grew-up in Lewisburg, spent a LOT of time in and between Columbia and Lawrenceburg in my teen years.  I am hoping to learn a lot from groups like this as I am new to the world of GMRS.

Hey All! WRYL951, Tyler, here! What does everyone think about an improptu GMRS "net" for the Hollidays? Seeing as were currently 20 members strong so far, Why not reach out and share some radio joy as we move through the final month of 2024? Glad to be here, and Happy Hollidays to all whatever your Tradition may be! Maybe give a quick reply and let everyone know what repeaters youre able to hit the best, and maybe some others that you can touch but arent the best. Maybe we can find one we can all touch, that would be amazing!
