USNCB Posted 14 hours ago Report Posted 14 hours ago Good evening, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I have 2 Tidradio H3 Radios that just quit connecting to GMRS repeaters. This just happened all at once, and not at the same time. They still work in the simplex mode, but will not connect to repeaters. Then today one of my H8 quit connecting to repeaters. But the strange thing with the H8 is when connected to Surecom SW-33-mark II SWR meter it connects fine. It does not matter if the digital is on or off. The H3 Models still don't connect even connected to the meter. I am retired from my PC business after 40 years; my specialty is programming. I can program these radios without any problem. This seems to be a hardware problem. I have been trying ti fix these for about 4 months now. Tid support don't know how and they won't answer my emails anymore. I hope someone might be able to help. OffRoaderX Posted 14 hours ago Report Posted 14 hours ago Am i understanding that you have 3 radios, and all 3 stopped working as expected, at basically the same time? if so, then something is highly suspect.. How are you determining that they "no longer connect to repeaters"? Are you trying to connect to the same repeater? is that repeater up/online? have you tried getting closer to the repeater(s)? many questions, but something is not right... LeoG Posted 14 hours ago Report Posted 14 hours ago Did the repeaters change their PL tone? Did you play with the RX tone? With the H3 I know if you play with the RX it'll reset the TX tone. You have to either set the TX alone without doing anything to the RX. Or set the RX and the TX will be set also. It you reset the RX, the TX goes back to no tone. WRUU653 and TrikeRadio 2 Quote
OffRoaderX Posted 13 hours ago Report Posted 13 hours ago Also with the H3, if you switch startup-modes, IIRC, you will lose any custom programming. SteveShannon, TrikeRadio and WRUU653 3 Quote
