Hello, I have a pair of UV-5G Pros that I programmed using the Baofeng programming cable with CHIRP and now my Roger Beep is all distorted. It doesn’t transmit this way across the air and only outputs this way through the speaker and any accessories like speaker-mics or the (horrible) included PTT headset. The rest of the sounds are perfectly normal and all transmissions sound just fine, including normal FM broadcast so it’s definitely not a speaker issue. I’ve tried changing channels, output powers, squelch settings, privacy tones and even factory resetting it but it doesn’t seem to make any change.
Thankfully it’s not impacting the usability of the radios but I am very curious if anyone knows anything about this. I have a video attachment so you can hear what it sounds like.
