About Me
ABOUT ME:
I am an 18 year old active Eagle Scout in Troop 1020 in Rowlett. I am a Member of Dallas County REACT and also am a Dispatcher.
My GMRS callsign is WQXR714 and my Ham is K5DUR, my old one was KG5WFY. Some refer to me as "Motoballa" just because I pretty much am dedicated to Motorola equipment.
I have many of the FEMA ICS certifications. Here are the ICS certifications I currently have as of 3/26/19:
29.a - Public Information Officer Awareness
42.a - Social Media in Emergency Management
100.c - Introduction to Incident Command System
200.c - Basic Incident Command System for Initial Response
700.b - Introduction to the National Incident Management System
800.c - National Response Framework, An Introduction
CURRENT SETUP:
My mobile setup consists of a Motorola PM400 UHF (403-470) 28 watt version, and a Motorola PM400 VHF (146-174) 45 watt version. Both radios transmit on 1/4 wave antennas on the center roof top of my vehicle. I plan to replace both radios with MotoTRBO equipment and add a crossband repeater in the trunk as soon as my wallet (and girlfriend) allow me to.
My EDC (every day carry) varies by mood, either my Motorola XPR3500e or XPR7550, both UHF (403-512MHz) 4 watt HT's. I also use a Motorola PM400 radio in my vehicle.
CHANNELS I MONITOR:
GMRS:
462.600 - 141.3 (Dallas County REACT, public)
462.675 - 141.3 (Dallas County REACT, REACT only)
462.650 - 627 (WQPA571, Dallas)
HAM:
446.000 - CSQ (National Calling Frequency)
442.700 - 110.9 (Garland Amateur Radio Club)
You can find me yapping with the "440 Crew" (or the "Food Channel") on 442.700 around 4:40pm every weekday.
