I think it would be best if members of this forum kept their political views to themselves and stuck to the topics this board was created to support.

Yes. I have seen some on Amazon that claim up to two watts on 22 channels.
However, I was wondering what regulation you were citing in your comment that it would be illegal to speak Spanish on FRS? There is a requirement that GMRS station IDs be made in English or Morse code. But, the only other reference I can find to language in Part95 is in subpart-A - General Rules for the Personal Radio Services

Plain language voice communications. Voice communications without codes or coded messages intended to provide a hidden meaning. Foreign languages and commonly known radio operating words and phrases, such as “ten four” and “roger,” not intended to provide a hidden meaning, are not considered codes or coded messages.

Might I suggest watching some of NotaRubicon Productions - YouTube reviews. It is how I started after my first two items purchased (would not have had I watched his first), and learned there are better options out there. In my mind it is a good beginner, simple review with commentary you may or may not like.  But good general knowledge to base your dollars spent.  Watch for devices that allow you to talk on more than one channel on the same device. Example: 1 ptt on simplex, 1 ptt on repeater channel no flip flopping around if you don't travel far, just push the other button.  Everyone will have a favorite, and many of them are good.

Based on feedback I've received over the last few weeks, I thought it would be a great idea to open up a dedicated forum that allows guests to post. Some visitors don't have a GMRS license yet and have some questions to ask, and some people may be trying to register but need help for one reason or another. Since the forums use your regular myGMRS login, these visitors were unable to seek help from our community, and I either had to respond directly to them or they'd be without recourse.

Hopefully this will help out some prospective members who need advice or the right nudge they need to get signed up.
