I seem to have the same Passport model, and I have the CE103 software but I don't see anything that looks like a channel list where I can program Tx/Rx frequencies, tones, etc. It has "Zones" and "Groups", I can program "Zones" with frequencies and tones, but it's not clear if that's the right thing to do, and there is a limit of 28 I think, does that seem right?

I think they just mean cut it off. They're usually crimped and soldered so no you can't just remove and re-attach. I generally pull bulk cable and install the ends where they are.

Does anyone know how the VX-2200 Passport (CE103) software works? I'm trying to add GMRS channels but there's no channel list, just groups and zones, though it does seem to support conventional.
