  1. Following this... we’d love to get your system linked in to our repeater network. www.texasgmrs.net
  2. Yes sir, that would be for Thomas. He received them couple of days ago and have been using them quite a bit already.
  3. The 5th repeater in the Houston, TX area that's part of the Texas GMRS Network is now on the air. The newest repeater is located near Memorial Park (IH-10/Hwy 290). Here's our latest coverage map for Houston. For more information, visit our website: http://www.texasgmrs.net
  4. John, Several of us have active GMRS repeater networks utilizing the app_rpt Asterisk system. If you have questions, let us know, we'll be glad to help. Rich (owner of this site) has a hub node setup for registration of IP linked repeaters as well. As do I, hosted in a datacenter in Dallas.
  5. If any of you with repeaters in the Austin area are interested in linking them via IP, let me know.
  6. Pursuant to FCC rules regarding GMRS during emergencies, all of the Houston area GMRS repeaters that I am licensed for are available for anyone assisting with emergency response to this crisis. Please submit a repeater request and I will immediately reply with PL/DPL tones.
  7. I am not receiving e-mail notifications from the forums for topic subscriptions, etc. My email is hosted by Google apps. I check the Spam folder and they're not there either. Are the e-mail notices working for others?
  8. This is exactly what I'm looking for. I actually PM'd you already on 12/24 about this. I have a Raspberry Pi, the URIx board, and USB sound card ready to go. Thanks, I look forward to hearing from you.
  9. So it sounds like your Simoco SDB680 repeaters have a feature that allows you to link them via IP without the need of a 3rd party device, which also connects to a SIP server allowing it to be controlled via a SIP phone. Correct?
  10. Would you mind sharing details on how you set it up? Did you use a custom version of app_rpt? If so, would you mind sharing the files with me please?
  11. What about having an online system for repeater owners to grant access to and manage users of their repeater(s)?
  12. For those of you with IP connected GMRS repeaters, what software/hardware are you using (TeamSpeak, Zello, app-rpt)? I'd like to hear from other repeater/network owners about this. I would like to get my repeater connected to the Internet, but would prefer to use a "standard" that's already in place and preferably something that's been adopted by other GMRS repeater owners. Ideally, it'd be nice to have some sort of Allstar link system for GMRS repeaters that require registration of license holders to gain access to repeaters via IP clients. I read some threads/posts on this forum about a special version of the Asterisk app-rpt that is not dependent on Allstar, but have been unsuccessful in finding that version of the software. I have a Raspberry Pi that I'd like to use the repeater controller if that does exist. Any input is greatly appreciated.
