  1. One 12v battery
  2. Correct. Spec says it has a Starter/Generator on this E-Z-GO.
  3. I have a 2015 E-Z-GO Terrain 250.
  4. Good looking antenna and thanks for the recommendation. I wish the review(s) were better though. I'm sure DX will fix that. It says it's "coiled designed", but the picture is hard to see. Is it spring mounted?
  5. Thanks man. My experience with ground planes has been irrelevant. Tried them all. I've had centered NMO roof mounts for ground plane and hood mounted with an NMO bracket with no ground plane application. Both perform the same at range. UHF ground plane doesn't really matter .... LOS does matter. My humbled opinion.
  6. Thanks
  7. One 12v battery. I plan on (if I TX a lot) at the end of the day, placing the unit on a battery tender.
  8. I apologize to the group. I did not mention but it's a 12v system, gas burner engine.
  9. Hello and hope y'all are doing well. I was gifted a KG-1000G. Awesome gift and very much appreciative. I already have two KG-1000G+ as both Base and Mobile stations. Also, an HT for RX/TX walking around the yard. I understand that golf carts don't have alternators (least mine don't) so what the radio pulls, it will come off the battery .... with no charging while engine running, as normal. Will this be worth trying. Thanks James WRXU693 GCRN Wallace650
  10. I have a hood mounted Midland MXTA26 on my truck paired up with a KG-1000G+. I do the same thing......GMRS on one side and VHF scanning on the other. It does surprisingly well on the railroad frequencies. James
  11. I got the RX tone from the owner a few months ago when he put up the station via text. The only reason I use RX tones on my scan list is because I don't want to hear the schools around here using FRS. Anyway, it's working now. Appreciate it.
  12. There's a new local repeater I've be scanning for a couple of months now. I'm on a base station and around twenty miles from this site. With permission granted and the RX/TX PL tone given because he has it as "unlisted". I've reached out to make contact but never got the audible kerchuck, just a bar strength measurement spike on the return. I texted him to see if the site was still active and he said yes. I ended up taking the RX tone off and tried it again with success. Question is why couldn't I make clear comms with the given RX tone? He has one of those new Btech repeaters that the queen showcased a few months ago. Thanks James WRXU693
  13. It's a great scanner. I've got both 100 and 200. I've had them for about five or six years. But if what you want to listen to systems that aren’t simulcast, you can save a few dollars with 436/536. Radio Reference is awesome for the scanner hobbyist. Look at your local area via RR and see if you need to purchase the upgrades. In my area DMR, NXDN were a must. Enjoy.
  14. Got to be more careful Randy. There's no telling what you might bring back home from anonymous men.
  15. Thanks Mark for your intellect. The TX/RX PL is set right according to the repeater info on maps. I'll try disabling the RX tone and see if there's any difference.
