  1. Yes, it definitely will. I had lost the link to the site I use to create these maps and finally found it. Unfortunately, it doesn't show its true path as we all know it reaches far beyond what is shown on the map. But that's why we call them estimated coverages.
  2. Yes Sir, The Mesa Crest Repeater Club Here, after a year of monitoring and listening to other repeaters (not saying there isn't any other good repeaters out there) the stuff being broadcasted was not something I wanted to have my wife and kids to be subject to. So, we created this Club. A Club that abides by the FCC rules and keeps everything PG for the kids and our wife's to be comfortable enough to also enjoy the hobby and as you stated be able to use GMRS as it was intended. We are not here to tell anyone what to do with their equipment or push anyone out but to share the airways as stated in the FCC rules. We are 100% Family Oriented and we will do everything in our power to keep our repeaters that way. On our repeater request it even lets anyone wanting to join that we are a Family Oriented Repeater Club. I have to say we have a great Club, Members are very respectful and love that there is finally a repeater based on Family Values. Hope you have a great day. The Mesa Crest Repeater Club
  3. Unfortunately, the gentlemen isn't willing to hold a conversation but much rather turn to hate and violence. Very unfortunate but I guess it's the world we live in now.
  4. This post is to clarify all the MISS INFORMATION being put out there by the 700 Verdugo Repeater owner. As everyone knows by now our Club has also put up a repeater on 700 on Santiago Peak. We did send an email to the Verdugo repeater owner. He has completely flipped what the email said which will be provided at the end of this draft. The Verdugo repeater owner has made death threats over the air and where recorded and will be turned over to the authorities. The individual claims we sent a cease-and-desist letter which never happened. He also claims we pushed out the Spanish speaking repeater on the other frequency we have a repeater on. I am happy to inform you they are still there. We are not here to push anyone out or take over a frequency, as these GMRS repeater pairs are to be shared per FCC rules. No one owns these GMRS frequencies and drawing claim to them is just ridicules. We are a Club and we do adhere to all FCC rules. Image of the email sent below

  11. I could see that happening. But, when you copy and paste the repeaters description and full information, then you are no longer doing this by mistake. This guy literally copied and pasted the repeaters description that was provided on the repeaters original listing.
  12. I am glad I was able to catch this whiten 24 hours of it being listed by that individual. He did respond to the Cease-and-Desist email we sent him. I believe he has unlisted everyone's repeaters he listed as his own. Again, just wanted to share light to those unaware of this happening.
  13. Just want to inform people I guess it's a new trend or something. For those of you that have repeaters listed on myGMRS double check that some else hasn't relisted your repeater as their own. Come to find out just now one individual has done just that. Not just mine but a couple other repeaters as well. Images included.
  14. Email sent. if you don't have an option to request to join. You haven't logged into the forums page. Please click on Existing user sign in. Not the register box.
  15. Just passing along information I received. 11/30/23 Subject: Geomagnetic Storm A strong geomagnetic storm is set to hit Earth Thursday night and Friday. Scientists from the Space Weather Prediction Center have issued a G3 geomagnetic storm alert, which means it is moderately strong. A number of solar flares caught by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Tuesday and Wednesday will bring a number of waves of energy our way, some waves even colliding with each other to intensify before reaching Earth. It takes between one and three days for coronal mass ejections to reach Earth, potentially disrupting satellite and radio service Thursday night and Friday. A coronal mass ejection is when pieces of the sun, including plasma and energy, are projected outwards. Solar ejections do happen rather frequently, but not at this magnitude. Interruptions to high frequency radio communication or even loss of navigation tools for a few minutes or more are possible. But this doesn't typically affect the general public. It is important, though, that power providers are prepared just in case. This may also cause satellite or space operators to recalibrate, as the solar flare can slow down space travel and increase drag. An upside of a geomagnetic storm is what we see in the night sky. Solar plasma particles interact with the magnetosphere, which is the outer layer of Earth's atmosphere responsible for the aurora borealis. As a result, the northern lights may be pretty strong tonight through Canada, in northern New England, and even as far as south as Massachusetts, Illinois and Oregon.

Please contact me at wrvl221@gmail.com I do not have an email or anyway of sending you the club tones.

  18. Yes. Till Friday.
  19. You are just outside of the coverage area.
  20. I can see the confusion. The Mesa Crest repeater was personally funded by my wife and I.
  21. No association with Santiago. The name The Mesa Crest Repeater, comes from its origin. The Mesa from The Mesa Community in the High Desert. And Crest for Crestline for where it will live its live out.
  22. I did expect this. Unfortunately some people have nothing better to do.
