I reached out to the what’s app number with a similar explanation, picture and video but haven’t heard back yet. I just now also tried their email. I’m going to give them a shot but at this point I’m just severely considering returning it and getting that new Crystal Tidradio H3 for my wife. I haven’t seen any reviews on it yet though so I kinda want to wait for that to hit Amazon too (just in case). Please consider reviewing it if you get the chance to. Thanks for taking a look. No I don’t have tones in there but it doesn’t matter. It does the same thing - restricts me from transmitting with a +5 offset. The problem is with the radio not letting me transmit on the 8 repeater channels.

This is my last ditch effort with my A36plus before just returning it. I really don’t want to because my wife loved this radio and I wanted to give it to her. Like I mentioned previously the radio came a complete mess but i removed all the unwanted privacy codes and incorrect offset for repeaters. As you can see below I fixed the offset to +5 but my radio isn’t letting me transmit on any channels but except the 462 channels. I get a restricted beep when it tries to transmit on the 467 freq. I updated firmware. I reset the radio. Any other possible advice before returning to Amazon? IMG_2136.mov

Thank you. The talkpod I definitely has the appropriate 462 channel with a +5 offset. I see the frequency turn to 467 but then it makes a restricted beep. Maybe I’ll try new firmware and then returning if it doesn’t work. I am partially unconfuckulated sir! Absolute legend , what a pleasure

I bought the Talkpod GMRS and have had trouble with it Talkpod A36plus GMRS: this radio was an absolute mess. It had privacy codes and a +3 offset preprogrammed on the repeater channels. I went into chirp and fixed all of them. The problem is this radio only seems to let me transmit on the 462 channels. Not even the 467 channels with a +5 offset. . anyone know how to fix this?

I think I heard that Radio might come with a glued antenna because it transmits data (gps) over gmrs. I’m pretty sure you can still take it off but it might void the warranty. Don’t quote me on this but look further into it, if you feel the need.

Hello, I just got my call sign and wanted to purchase this radio. I looked at the 1 star reviews on Amazon and a few people said that it’s impossible to connect this radio to certain repeaters. I just wanted to know if these are people who gave a review before completely figuring their radio out ?/ will I be able to connect to repeaters if I purchase it? Also I wanted to purchase a foldable military style antenna for the UV-5G any advice on which one? Specifically from amazon if possible.
