  1. Now with the 3rd kit received, I was able to assemble a working unit and will be sending back 2 of the 3. One note on programming the H3, check the firmware version prior to upgrading; mine were already up to date but the process does seem clunky. Also, I found TIDRADIO specific programming software for the H3 on their website and it worked flawless and no problem using the new direct USB C connection between the radio and my laptop. ODMaster worked fine too.
  2. I ordered one of the new gen H3's from Amazon and the battery died in 2 hours; won't charge but passed through only enough to flicker the display. Ordered a second one and that battery had loose parts rattling around. Now a third one is being delivered tomorrow so lets hope three's a charm. When I could use the radio, it's solid and I love it which is why I'm trying so hard to get a working kit. Conclusion: Radio great, battery problematic. One more point and in all fairness to TIDRADIO, they reached out to me on their own and offered me full refunds...
  3. @Merky1761 Not sure if I'm tagging you correctly but you will be EXTREMELY happy with the Woxuxun KG 935 plus!!! With all my testing, I always fall back on that solid radio and now also the Baofeng UV17 Pro GPS but that's another topic.
  4. This a firmware file you download from Baofeng and the file is the full package containing the installer and the update to fix transmit on channel 15. You do need to do this on a PC. I did it on a Win 11 machine and worked perfect. Just follow the instructions that come in the file and you should be good. Hope this helps.
  5. I'm very interested!
  6. I have a Wouxun KG-XS20G radio in my truck and looking to extend the mic cable with a straight non spiral cable. I can't find this anywhere. I'm not opposed to building my own cable but the female connector is hard to find. Any help is appreciated.
  7. I just received one of these to test and programming is no where near what is described. I only use the app to modify channels but even doing that, the phone app messes with configuration settings. Remember, some of the available channels are only receive so I bet that's your problem When I found the right channels, no problem setting different frequencies. I'm still trying to decide if I'm going to keep it. Hope this helps.
  8. I hope this is not an obvious question but I heard an Icom IC-7300 can be used to receive/transmit on GMRS frequencies? Thanks for any responses...
  9. Paid for premium membership but it doesn't appear to reflect on the site (can't produce reports and still seeing ads). Any help would be appreciated.
