  1. what does this mean and how n I get rid of it??? I try to save and overwrite the old file and I get an error saying it can't with this as the solution....

    System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path 'C:\Program Files (x86)\GM5R CPS\unins000.dat' is denied.
       at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath)

    <configuration>
        <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
    </configuration>

  2. I have two boofwang UV-5G plus radios. Up till now, they have been good radios. Now, when turned on, neither radio seems to transmit or receive. I get the power bar, the freq off set change, but even with one radio setting next to the other, there is nothing on either radio.

    suggestions, or have I now got to bricks???

    thanks

  3. this is weird or just me. Went to chnl 30, freq 462.7250...put in NO offset, NO DCS, NO R/T-CTCSS but the radio added the + offset and I can't get rid of it.

    Does this chnl/freq automatically ad the offset? If I switch to VFO, it isn't there, just under chnl mode....Radio is a UV-5G plus...

    Ideas?

    Thanks

    Go in and look at your settings in the software and see if it shows anything for the password and try to change/remove it... If you dont see anything, try 00000 .. if that doesn't work, contact the seller as they have a way to reset it (then let us know what that way is).

  5. I just received this radio. Have the cable for it so I connected it up to the computer. Found the correct comm port and read the radio. So far so good. But when I tried WRITING back to the radio, it said "completed" on the computer but now it has a password set..I DID NOT SET A PASSWORD.

    Is there a way to get this corrected to no password?  I have no idea what the password is...

    Thanks
