So I’m new to GMRS and need someone to explain how to connect to a repeater? I have a Rugged hand held and would like to buy a better one for my truck. I got a license and used MYGMRS.com to find the closest repeater. I received permission from the owner as well. How do I know what channel, frequency and the other tones? And how do I program that assuming I’m in range? Thanks,

I’m sure I’m going to get a lot of crap but I’m new and I am trying to figure out how to program my radio to a repeater. I watched several videos and still am a bit confused. I have a hand held Rugged Radio but would like to get a better one for my truck. I found the closest repeater to me by using myGMRS.com and got permission with the owners of several different locations. My question is how do I know what channel, frequency, and what tones? I’m not sure how that all works. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
